This Privacy Policy explains how PennCasso, Custom Pen Maker ("PennCasso," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit https://penncasso.com, contact us, or place an order through our online store. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to answer you and fill your orders, and we never sell your information.

Information We Collect

We collect the following kinds of information:

  • Information you give us through the contact form. When you send us a note or a custom-order request, we collect your name, your email address, and the message you write. Our contact form does not ask for a phone number.
  • Order and store information. When you add pens to your cart and go through checkout, we collect what the order requires — the items in your cart, your name, email address, and the shipping and (where applicable) billing address you enter. Payment is handled by our payment processor; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Analytics data. If you allow analytics cookies, we collect anonymous usage data such as the pages you visit, how you found the site, your general region, and your browser and device type. This data does not identify you personally.
  • Cookies. Small files stored by your browser that help the site and store function and, with your permission, help us understand how the site is used. See the Cookies section below.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiry and discuss a custom pen order.
  • To process, fulfill, and ship the orders you place, and to send order-related email about them.
  • To follow up on a request you made, by email.
  • If you allow analytics, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • To comply with legal and accounting obligations and to protect against fraud or abuse.

We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to the reason you gave it to us.

Contact Form and Order Data

When you submit the contact form, your message is delivered to us through our form processor and stored securely in a private spreadsheet that only we can access. When you place an order, your order and shipping details are processed and stored by the store platform that runs our checkout so we can fulfill and ship your pens. We use this information solely to answer you and to complete the work and orders that follow.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. The only parties that handle it are the service providers that operate our website, store, payment processing, form delivery, and analytics — and they handle it only to provide those services to us.

Third-Party Services We Use

To run the site and store, we rely on a small set of providers, each acting only on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
  • Contact-form processing — delivers your message to us and stores it in a private spreadsheet (Google Workspace).
  • Our store platform (WooCommerce) — processes and stores your cart, order, and shipping details at checkout.
  • Payment processor — securely handles payment at checkout; we do not receive your full card details.
  • Google Analytics 4 — measures site traffic in aggregate, and loads only if you allow analytics cookies.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure traffic. GA4 does not load until you accept the analytics category in our cookie banner, so no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent unless and until you consent. When active, Google may set cookies and process usage data under its own privacy policy. We use analytics in aggregate only — to see which pages work and which don't — not to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses only two categories: strictly necessary cookies (required for the site, forms, cart, and your saved preferences — including the cookie that remembers your consent choice), which are always on; and analytics cookies (Google Analytics), which load only if you accept them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can accept, reject, or change your choice at any time using the cookie banner or the "Cookie preferences" link, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site and store still work if you reject analytics cookies.

Data Retention

We keep contact-form submissions and order records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider's standard retention settings. You can request earlier deletion at any time — see Your Rights below.

Your Rights and How to Request Your Data (DSAR)

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Delete your information, unless we are legally required to keep it (for example, records of a completed purchase).

To make any of these requests — including a request to delete your data — email lrocha@penncasso.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like us to do. We will confirm your identity (to protect your data) and respond within 30 days. This is our Data Subject Access Request process; there is no cost to you.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy. See also our Terms of Service.
